In Canada we know that there is limited access to obesity management. While the number of doctors and health professionals that are specializing in obesity management is growing, this growth cannot meet the demand. There is a need to utilize primary health care as a key point in the obesity management pathway. Join our hosts as they speak to Dr. Tasneem Sajwani about obesity management in primary care. Dr. Tasneem Sajwani runs her Family Medicine Practise and her Obesity Management Practise in Edmonton, Alberta. She completed her Family Medicine Training Program at the University of Alberta in 2008 and earned her fellowship with the College of Family Physicians of Canada in 2019. Dr. Sajwani is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine and is committed to her work in obesity management and challenging obesity bias and stigma through her practice and advocacy.
